Description
This book is the third of a series chronicling the development of a new architectural system, following Honeycomb Tube Architecture and Honeycomb Dynamics Architecture.
In this book, we introduce whole structural tests conducted on the PC honeycomb tube structure and Steel honeycomb tube structure, and we attempt to prove the effectiveness of honeycomb tube architecture as such through a variety of structural tests and simulation-based assessments of its environmental performance.
In the last chapter, we investigate the environmental performance of honeycomb tube architecture. We propose four building types and projects and evaluate them as case studies through CASBEE and Life-cycle CO2 (LCCO2) assessments, and search for their potential as sustainable architecture.
Illustrated throughout with models, technical drawings, charts and colour photographs.
