Description

Introduced by Akira Yoneda’s ‘Hojo’ house in Tokyo, GA subsequently documents another 16 works and projects by a collection of different architects. Among them Mathias Klotz’s Techos, Bitran and Kuschnir Houses, Toyo Ito’s ‘White O,’ the Roof House by Terunobu Fujimori + Hiroshi Nakatani and the ‘O House’ by Hideyuki Nakayama. Further, four essential elements of the house – glass, window, garden and staircase – are examined respectively through projects by Ray Kappe, David Hertz, Terunobu Fujimori and Georg Driendl. Generously illustrated throughout with colour and black and white photographs, each building is accompanied by technical drawings and a short introduction.
