Description
Modern architecture and historical heritage do not often go hand in hand. C3 looks at a love and hate relationship between modern architecture and historical ornaments. How can modern architecture be enriched by the past? And what lessons may architects learn from past examples? Special attention is also paid to the changing social functions of today’s modern cities. Projects include: Inter-Municipal school in Saint-Denis by AAVP Architecture, the Social Housing in Terrassa by Flores & Prats Arquitects, Le Lorrain Residential Complex by MDW Architecture, and the Lucien Rose Complex in Rennes by Atelier du Pont.
