Allies is a partner of Allies & Morrison, the master planners for the Olympic Games of 2012 in London. The publication is based on the lecture he gave in the series Designers of the Future in 2009.
Cultivating the City is part of the series Designers of the Future. This series is an initiative of the Wouter Mikmak Foundation in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft and the Stylos study association. The Mikmak Foundation was set up in honour of the architect Wouter Mikmak to contribute to the debate on architecture and the development of the knowledge of architecture. With the series Designers of the Future the foundation hopes to contribute to the education and development of young architects.
