S AM 01: As Found: Urban Reanimations and the Minimal Intervention
S AM No.1 is the first issue of a series of publications accompanying the exhibitions at S AM. Published to accompany the exhibitions at the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, S AM appears four times a year. This issue examines the reactivation and transformation of spaces and existing structures. Seventeen recent works and projects revel in an aesthetic of the unfinished and the makeshift – in turn raising discussions about our understanding of useful – and useable – space. Architects featured include: Isa Stürm Urs Wolf SA; Haworth Tompkins; OSA; Modulorbeat; and EM2N Architekten.
