Description
The first of two features in this issue presents five projects recently designed by contemporary Chilean offices, all manifestations of an architectural style meant to enhance life in isolation, away from the city and embedded in the natural landscape. Highlighted are houses by Pezo Von Ellrichshausen, Max Núñez, Ampuero Yutronic, Schmidt Associates Architects, and Felipe Assadi Arquitectos. The second feature, entitled “Against the Typology”, explores five new manifestations in housing for students, showing how the collective dynamics and programme inherent to these buildings and spatial sequences has influenced the architectural conception to the point of characterising it.
