Description
This issue focuses on three subjects: Urban University, Library Today, and Mexican Concrete. The first examines how new needs and material structures combine to offer opportunities for designers to experiment with innovative layouts and a new formal repertoire that can affect urban dynamics. Examples include Cornell Tech, Central European University, and the Southern Utah Museum of Art. Recent developments in the design of media libraries as an evolution of traditional ones feature in Library Today, with projects by OMA + Barcode Architects, Jean-Pierre Lott, and MVRDV. Lastly, the issue takes stock of concrete’s revision and continuation in today’s Mexican architecture.
