Description
With the growing acceptance of the reality of climate change and movement away from dependency on fossil fuels, architects are increasingly central to the question of how we want to live, both now and in the future, and able to encourage new forms of social interaction and a holistic view of sustainability that sees well-being as a crucial link between the environment, people and economics. Through profiles of thirteen green and energy-efficient projects, these issues and more are elucidated in physical form through the diverse solutions offered by offices like Archea Associati, Herzog & de Meuron, Mikou Design Studio, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Branch Studio and others.
