Description
This issue features the Spanish architectural office selgascano, established in Madrid in 1998 by José Selgas and Lucia Cano. They have since worked with a wide variety of projects, yet have always kept nature at the core of their programme, focusing on in-depth research of the construction process, which they treat as an ongoing process of “listening”, from manufacture to installation. The magazine features the office’s major works since 2006, including the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, Badajoz Conference Centre and Auditorium, Kibera Hamlets, Sam First Bar, Bruges Pavilion, Office in the Woods, and more. An interview with Ryue Nishizawa rounds out the issue.
