Description
Chilean architect Cristián Undurraga produces architecture that is deeply rooted in the landscape, using matter, space, and light to address the singularities of each different place and programme. This instalment focuses on a selection of the most significant buildings Undurraga has completed since the turn of the century, from Santiago’s Museum of Visual Arts, Palacio La Moneda Cultural Centre, Jorge Carroza Fine Arts Gallery, and Simonetti Building, to projects beyond the capital such as the Lake House at Colico Lake, the Retiro Chapel in the Valparaíso Region, and the University of Los Andes Civic Quarter in Bogotá, Columbia. Includes an essay by the architect.
