Description
This instalment is devoted to the works of the prestigious office of Ábalos + Sentkiewicz. Iñaki Ábalos himself contributes a lengthy essay on the theory behind the firm’s practice, and twelve projects – realised and as yet unbuilt – are featured in detail. Beginning with older works located in Madrid, such as the Lolita Office Building and Orfila Street Residential Pavilion, it traces a chronological path through the Antoni Tàpies Foundation in Barcelona and Transport Hub and Urban Park in Logroño, to recent efforts further afield: a mixed-use complex in Beirut and the Zhuhai Contemporary Art Museum. With additional texts by David Cohn, Eduardo Prieto and Luis Fernández-Galiano.
