Description
“I am a humanist. To me, a chair is just as important as a tower.” Piero Lissoni
The products conceived by Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni (*1956) are all objects of desire: he has designed a series of timeless, modern private homes. sophisticated hotel interiors, tremendously elegant yachts, and uncompromisingly streamlined furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, and objects for companies such as Alessi, Boffi, Cassina, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Kartell, Knoll, Living Divani, Tecno, and Thonet. “In theMilan tradition, one is first an architect, then at the same time engineer or designer. They are capable of designing a spoon or an entire city,” says the all-round artist.
Lissoni’s sensuous Minimalism requires precious materials, perfectly thought-out details, and an excellent look and feel. This is also evident in this monograph on his architectural and design work. Lissoni also co-designed the volume.
