Description
Among many internationally recognised projects, veteran architectural pedagogue Fumihiko Maki extended the United Nations building in New York, and is currently designing Tower 4 for the new World Trade Center. Square 3, his contribution to the Novartis Campus buildings in Basel, is a gleaming white structure situated in a hidden corner of the campus near the Rhine. Maki’s sculptural qualities and poetic attention to detail is highlighted in this monograph, which features colour photography, designs, specifications, and texts by Trevor Mundel, Ulrike Jehle-Schulte Strathaus and Francesco Buzzi.
