Description
The new issue of ‘AV Proyectos’ features ten projects by the office of Rem Koolhaas in New York. Among these, two spectacular skyscrapers in Manhattan and two large cultural buildings recently inaugurated in Quebec and Miami. The issue also includes the first initiative by the Madrid-based Norman Foster Foundation: Droneport is an ambitious plan to set up a transportation infrastructure with hangars in Africa, and the first prototype has been presented at the current Venice Biennale. Next, four small acoustic pavilions that perform as amplifiers or as true music instruments. The construction section analyzes the Palace of Justice in Córdoba by the Dutch team Mecanoo, whose design takes inspiration from the urban fabric of the traditional Arab city.
