The magazine’s first monograph dedicated to the Ghent-based practice headed by Ralf Coussée and Klaas Goris. The duo established their office two decades ago, but have been collaborating for over 30 years. Keen on the open exchange of ideas, their work together has seen a constant evolution, with designs that express a close attention to materials and details in terms of both the building and place. The issue features sixteen projects, from a riding centre for youth and a crematorium, to repurposed industrial sites and private homes. Marc Dubois gives a concise overview of the architectural landscape in Belgium and the role the two architects have played in its development.
