Description
This issue introduces eighteen works, among them houses, pavilions, and a church, conceived by twelve architectural offices. Differing in location, scale, and programme, they nevertheless share a common attitude, which could be called restrained, and a commitment to the expression of space that is both ideologically pure and of exceptional beauty. Highlights include two homes by Christian Kerez, Landstedet and Strandvilla by Atelier Lise Juel, House 1014 by Harquitectes, Årsta Church by Johan Celsing, Barkow Leibinger’s Fellows Pavilion at the American Academy Berlin, Robbrecht en Daem’s Dairy Gaasbeek, and House Vos by architecten de vylder vinck taillieu.
