Description
Scarpa was commissioned by Carlo Ottolenghi to design a villa for his son, situated on Lake Garda, near Bardolino, Italy. Here, this delightful project, which coincided with some of the architect’s best years of practice, is examined through colour photographs, plans and sketches. The accompanying texts, which include a short introduction to Scarpa’s career alongside historical and descriptive pieces, have been written by the renowned architectural historian and critic, Franceso Dal Co.
