Description
The Dutch-based office of NIO Architecten has increasingly gained attention over recent years thanks to a number of projects carrying such names as ‘The Cyclops’, ‘The Amazing Whale Jaw’, and ‘David and The Hulk’. By no means limited to one particular type of architecture, the office has produced a diverse combination of projects ranging from factories, bridges, bus shelters to shopping centres around the globe. ‘Urban Presence’ features the complete works of the office’s founding father, Maurice Nio (1959 Italy) and offers an insight into his work of the past decade.
